Infrastructure and Economic Growth
Lincoln is funding street improvements at historic levels and repairing sidewalks and more miles of water mains each year.
I will continue to support key investments to keep pace with our city’s growth
In my time on Council, we have kept our commitment to our neighborhoods by increasing residential street improvements. We’ve partnered with the private sector to expand access to affordable, high-speed internet – which helps businesses thrive and creates jobs. All of this makes our city grow stronger.
Lincoln has increased both the numbers of police officers and emergency responders and the resources available to them.
I will continue to support investments in public safety
Citizens’ safety is our city’s top priority. I introduced the successful amendment that allowed voters to decide on whether to add four new fire stations (including one joint police/fire station) rather than just two. This helps ensure our emergency responders can respond more quickly to our 911 calls no matter where in Lincoln we live and is an accomplishment that can truly save lives.
Quality of Life
I have worked to enhance our quality of life and support our working families.
I will continue to work for progress for all Lincoln families
Lincoln serves working families and those on fixed incomes by supporting libraries, offering expanded public transit, and investing in neighborhood parks, trails, playgrounds, pools and recreation centers, hot meals for seniors, and active senior community centers. All of us, regardless of age, income, or zip code, should experience and enjoy Lincoln’s progress.
